THE BEST ROUGH WATER HULL Hawaii's watermen hailed the Sea Blade as the biggest advancement in rough water hull design and performance since the Deep-V was introduced in 1958.
MOTIVATION - BOATS SLAM IN ROUGH WATER
Navatek's experience operating Deep-V hulls in Hawaii's challenging ocean conditions revealed that the Deep-V is limited in seakeeping and seakindliness . By 2004, Navatek's suspicions of the Deep-V's lack of abilities were validated. Several US Navy and Special Operations Command reports documented the rough ride of boats featuring a deep-v design, as well as the injuries these boats were causing to its riders. The most alarming discovery was a 100% injury rate for boat drivers with 9 or more years active duty, due to the boats rough ride. Navatek finally reasoned that if the nation's best trained and most elite warriors couldn't find a Deep-V boat with satisfying seakeeping capabilities for themselves, Navatek would answer the call and create a solution.

SEA BLADE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: 2005 - 2014
In 2005, Navatek launched the Sea Blade development program to create a superior performing hull form compared to any other planing boat design. Navatek combined the lessons learned from innovative concept forerunners with Sea Blade experimental precursors to develop the innovative hull form. The design has been proven to decrease peak slamming forces by up to 40% compared to the Deep-V and has been scaled for boats that range from 15' - 40'.
